According to the images posted by an X user, @joshnamesnotjo1, fans can expect a brand-new open-world platformer set in Bikini Bottom.
The New SpongeBob Game Is An Open-World Platformer Focused On Patrick Star
Per the leaked image and game description, the upcoming video game set in SpongeBob SquarePants’ is an open-world platformer where fans will get to play as Patrick Star instead of SpongeBob. The pictures posted by @joshnamesnotjo1 have been taken from igabiba.com, where The Patrick Star Game’s PlayStation 5 edition was listed for 39.99. The game’s page was seemingly removed from the website after the leak.

For the uninitiated, the leaked SpongeBob game has been published by Outright Games. The studio is known for Jumanji: Wild Adventures, Bluey: The Videogame, PAW Patrol World, and many more such titles. In The Patrick Star Game, the players will get to control SpongeBob’s best friend, who will be able to explore Bikini Bottom or take on challenges that other popular SpongeBob characters have set up. Here’s a look at the official description of the SpongeBob game:

According to the description, players might not get to play as SpongeBob SquarePants in The Patrick Star Game. Still, an open-world adventure platform game set in Bikini Bottom might not be a bad deal. At the time of the writing, Outright Games or any other developer/publisher hasn’t announced the game, but fans can hope for an official reveal soon.
