Riot games to explore new thematics for League of Legends
Riot Games has announced that its popular MOBA game League of Legends will soon introduce some new skins. Based on what Riot Games has said, players could expect a treat quite early. As part of the League of Legends dev update blog, Riot Brightmoon and Riot Meddler discussed everything related to skins that are anticipated in both mid-season and mid-year. According to the recent reveal, League Studio’s head Andrei ‘Meddler’ van Roon and executive producer Jeremy ‘Brightmoon’ Lee discussed the upcoming content changes. This includes the LoL Skarner VGU, Neeko, Ivern and midscopes for Rell, as well as skins.

Riot Games is looking into new themes for League of Legends skin lines after introducing the Faerie Court to its fans earlier this month. Andrei “Meddler” van Roon, stated in a dev blog that new thematics will be added to the game this year.
During last year’s MSI, the High Noon battle pass and its skins were released, along with the long-anticipated Dplus KIA (then DWG KIA) Worlds 2021 winner skins. With Worlds skins historically dropping around MSI, we can anticipate the arrival of DRX’s cosmetics. Having said that, the skin thematics to which Meddler refers are entirely new machinations, rather than a return to an existing line. Whatever these themes are, three of the game’s oldest champions are likely to receive them, with Meddler confirming that Dr Mundo, Shyvana, and Udyr will all receive new skins soon.
Conclusion
Meanwhile, the first batch of Wild Rift-exclusive skins – Star Guardian Senna, Star Guardian Orianna, and Star Guardian Seraphine are all set to release in July for LoL. This, however, does not appear to be set in stone just yet. Although there is no information on the theme of the summer event, fans’ expectations will almost certainly match the hype that surrounded last year’s Star Guardian event.
