Choosing the right Agent for a Valorant Map can be tough. The game has over 20 Agents that can be selected and the addition of Clove, the Scottish troublemaker, has increased the indecisiveness of new players during agent selection. Although some Valorant gamers tend to choose the agent they are most conformable with, they might not get the best out of them on a particular map. For this reason, this guide will inform you of the best agents in Valorant for each map.
Best Agents In Valorant For Each Map In The Competitive Scene
Fracture, Haven, and Pearl are currently removed from the competitive pool. Since we don’t know when the maps will be back in the Competitive stages, we have listed the best Agents in Valorant for each map considering those maps that are in rotation.
Omen – Lotus
Controller Agents dominate the Lotus because of the Map’s large size. That said, Omen is the best choice for Lotus because his Dark Cover can block enemy vision and create safe entries to the Spike Site. He can also teleport on top of the many boxes on Lotus and take the enemy by surprise.
Viper – Icebox
Viper is one of the best Agents for Icebox, especially on the A Site. Her Toxic Screen walls can cloud enemy vision after which an ally Gekko’s Wingman can plant the Spike. Poison Orbs can be used strategically to hide her teammates or hide the Spike plant. Moreover, she has the Viper’s Pit in her arsenal, which can be useful in preventing Site retakes or Site entries.
Jett – Ascent
Winning mid battles is important for winning in Ascent. Thanks to Jett’s swiftness, she can easily snipe enemies in the middle of the Map and dash sideways, giving her team an early advantage. The Duelist can also rush quickly to the Spike Site with Tailwind and Updraft. A combination of both abilities will create angles where Jett can rain down bullets on clueless enemies.
Raze – Bind
Raze is undoubtedly the best Agent in Valorant Bind. She can clear out enemies with her Paint Shells frag grenades while the Blast Pack satchels allow her to move around the map at a fast pace, engaging the enemy after disrupting their aim. As a Duelist, she gets on the offensive and creates space for her team.
Sova – Breeze
Sova’s Recon Bolt is of great importance in Breeze. Unlike KAY/O, his bolt can be bounced from walls to reveal enemies on a larger radius. After the enemy positions have been revealed, the Duelists can jump into action. Sova could also use Shock Darts to prevent entries to the Site from A Cave and A Shop.
Chamber – Split
Similar to Ascent, mid-control is an important aspect of winning on Split. The map is a combination of upper and lower foundations that need precise crosshair movement and accurate aim. As such, an experienced Chamber player can terrorize opponents on Split. The Agent’s abilities like Headhunter and Tour De Force can give him extremely strong weapons for neutralizing enemies that try to rotate or flank.
Phoenix – Sunset
Phoenix is effective on almost every Map. In Sunset, he could take fights on A Elbow or B Site while Attacking, rushing into the Spike Sites after trusting his Curveball ability to flash any enemies. Hot Hands can be used to flush out enemies from corners after which Phoenix can heal himself. Moreover, his wall ability can be used to hide his teammates’ plant or defuse.
Given their skillset and overall performance on a Map, these characters make the best Valorant Agents for beginners. Players can unlock an Agent and test them on any Map by creating a Custom Game. To raise the stakes, they can invite their friends for a custom match and battle with the instant ability cooldown mod turned on in the Settings.
