KONOSUBA Season 3 Episode 1 was supposed to air and begin the series for Spring 2024 on April 10, 2024. Last Saturday, March 30, 2024, the episode was leaked onto a major torrent site and thus virally circulated online.
Fans believe this was because of Crunchyroll’s vulnerable servers- while some fans specify it’s because Crunchyroll is still using Funimation’s servers which recently closed service to the public worldwide due to the company being merged into Crunchyroll permanently. Some fans also say the leak was due to the episode being aired early at the recent Sakura Con Exhibition in Japan.
Fans’ Response and Damage Control
Even though Crunchyroll’s KONOSUBA Season 3 Episode 1 leaked early, Fans are rejoicing as the episode was really good and Studio Drive apparently killed it with the animation and storyboarding. They also say that it’s a hilarious situation that the leak happened so early and all due to Crunchyroll’s faults.
