Valorant Challengers 2023 South Asia Split 1 started off with the opening matches
Valorant Challengers 2023 South Asia Split 1, organised by Riot Games and NODWIN Gaming, started on the 18th of March. The tournament features a total of 10 teams competing for a total of ₹11,500,000 prize pool. The tournament began with the League Stage format before moving towards the Playoffs. The League stage is running between the 18th of March and to 9th of April, with the 10 teams splitting into two groups of five each. The top 3 teams from each group will make their way to the Playoffs, which are scheduled to take place from the 14th of April to the 22nd of April. Structure of Valorant Challengers 2023 South Asia Split 1
As mentioned above, the tournament has two stages, the League Stage and the Playoffs. 10 teams will compete in the League Stage, and later top 6 teams will compete in the Playoffs. Have a look at the formats below.
Format
· League Stage: It features a single-round robin format with all matches of best of 3 game series. To make it to the Playoffs, the teams are divided into two groups of five each, and the top three teams will qualify. Winning teams from each group will be drawn into the Upper Bracket Semifinals of the Playoffs. Second-placed and third-placed teams will make it to the Upper Bracket Quarterfinals.
· Playoffs: It will feature a double elimination bracket with the best of 3 games except for the Grand Final. The teams in the Grand Final will undergo a best of 5 game series. Orangutan has already grabbed its place in the playoffs with three consecutive wins.
