Second Six Invitational title registered by G2 Esports
The Ubisoft and ESL organised Six Invitational 2023 concluded yesterday, 19th February. w7m esports faced 2019 winners G2 Esports in the Grand Final of Six Invitational 2023. Julion Giacomelli aka JULIO of w7m esports was up for his third Six Invitational Grand Final appearance. He caught the attention as he was looking for his second title. While on the other hand, G2 Esports was also fighting for their second title. The Grand Final kicked off, and w7m esports were able to take the lead in the best of 5 game series. However, Benjamaster went ahead with some brilliant gameplays and helped the team win three back-to-back maps. G2 Esports became the Six Invitational 2023 champions.

Performance of the teams and round analysis
The best of 5 game series Grand Final commenced with the Map ban phase. G2 Esports banned Border and Chalet. w7m esports banned Skyscraper and Theme Park. The maps that were up for the matches were Clubhouse, Bank, Kafe Dostoyevsky, Oregon and Villa. Let’s move on to the match highlights with a detailed look.
The MVP performance from G2’s Benjamaster
Since the beginning of the Six Invitational 2023, G2 Esports saw Doki and Benjamaster both in great form. However, in the Grand Final, Benjamaster was exceptional. He performed well with game-saving clutches. He accumulated a total of 1.37 ratings, helping his team lift the hammer and secure the MVP title.
Map 1: Clubhouse
The operator ban phase included Ying and Valkyrie, banned by w7m esports. G2 Esports banned Mira and Thatcher.
G2 Esports was defending in the beginning, as w7m was on the attacking side. volpz of w7m esports picked up two rounds and gave w7m esports a 2-round lead. The first half ended with 4-2 scores as G2 Esports were able to get two rounds back. The second half began with G2 Esports’ good attack from Virtue and Benjamaster. However, a last-minute 1v1 clutch from Kheyze from w7m esports levelled the second half for a 3-3 finish. w7m esports made it a win by 7-5.
Map 2: Bank
The operator ban phase included Valkyrie and Hibana banned by w7m esports. G2 Esports banned Montagne and Solis.
G2 Esports’ Blurr, Alem4o and Benjamaster turned the game towards their side as they could eliminate w7m esports players on the defence side. The first half ended with a 4-2 lead from G2 Esports. Later Benjamaster’s three kills clutch with Goyo in the locker room gave G2 room to manoeuvre. 2 Kills from Alem4o’s with Warden drew the last blood as G2 Esports made it 0-3 and secured the map by a 2-7 win.
Map 3: Kafe Dostoyevsky
The operator ban phase included Ying and Valkyrie banned by w7m esports. G2 Esports banned Azami and Thatcher.
The first half of the game ended with a score of 3-3 as both teams were able to level the scoreboard. However, Doki and Benjamaster stepped up for G2 Esports as in the second round of the second half Doki registered 2K with a quick Amaru rush while Benjamaster with Dokkaebi got 2 kills. Another 2K performance from Doki and Benjamaster in the last round helped to make it 1-4 and G2 secured the map with a 4-7 win.
Map 4: Oregon
The operator ban phase included Azami and Ying banned by w7m esports. G2 Esports banned Capitao and Mira.
Both teams forced the map for overtime with a score of 4-2 in both halves. Doki drew the last blood with Iana as he registered 3K, and G2 Esports secured the overtime win by 0-2 in the overtime. G2 Esports finished the Oregon map with a score of 6-8.
Conclusion
