Group Stage is now over, let’s have a look at the winners
So, the final stage is here for the Blast Premier Spring Groups 2023. Organised by BLAST, the tournament concluded its Group Stage actions. The top three teams have won their respective Group’s Grand Finals. The three winners who made it are Team Vitality, FaZe Clan and G2 Esports, these teams now made it to the Spring Final while the remaining 3 teams will make it through the Play-in stage. The Play-in Stage will start today with the Round 1 actions. The runners-up from the Group Stage, Heroic, OG and NAVI are placed in the Play-ins Round 2. The Play-in stage will have three single-elimination gauntlets with all matches of best of 3 game series, winners will move to Spring Final.
Concluding actions of Group Stage
On the 25th of January, fans witnessed an entertaining Grand Final from Group A. It was Team Vitality vs Heroic. Vitality played brilliantly and claimed the 1st and 3rd maps with a good win. Vitality secured the best of 3 series with a 2-1 win.
After that, fans moved in for the Group B and Group C fixtures that were played yesterday 26th of January, FaZe Clan faced OG and G2 Esports was up against Natus Vincere. The stream of the matches is available on Blast’s YouTube channel. A detailed recap is presented below –
Group B Grand Final
FaZe Clan met OG in the Grand Final. Map veto was Mirage, Ancient and Overpass.
- Mirage Map – FaZe Clan made it 9-6 in the first half. Though the second-half score remained 7-8, FaZe Clan won the game by 16-14.
- Ancient Map – FaZe Clan began to dominate the game from the beginning only. They made it 11-4 in the first half and with a 5-2 finish, FaZe Clan won the game by 16-6.
Group C Grand Final
It was a match between G2 Esports vs Natus Vincere. The map veto for the match remained Inferno, Nuke and Mirage.
- Inferno Map – G2 Esports started off with a dominating win. First half score remained 10-5 and later with a 6-1 finish in the second half led them to a 16-6 victory.
- Nuke Map – Both teams played really well, the first-half score remained 8-7 and later G2 Esports dominated the show and made it 8-3 in the second half. With this, they claimed the game with a 16-10 finish.
Now, the tournament reached the Play-In stage which will commence today with the Round 1 fixtures. Matches that are lined up are –
