Upper Bracket Final and Lower Bracket Semifinal results
The Blast Premier: Spring Groups 2023 Day 4 actions concluded yesterday. The first S-tier CS:GO tournament of the year went underway on 19th January with the group-stage encounters. A total of twelve teams will compete over a span of 11 days. The tournament is all set in Copenhagen with a hefty prize pool of $177,498. Till the 29th of January, fans will witness their favourite teams battling against each other for a place in the Spring Finals. Group B was solely involved in the actions yesterday 22nd January, fans witnessed the fixtures where FaZe Clan won the Upper Bracket Final, and Team Liquid won the Lower Bracket Semifinal in Group B.
FaZe Clan and Team Liquid, the main showstoppers
The Day 4 of the Blast Premier Spring Groups 2023 displayed a total of two matches. Both games were from Group B fixtures where fans witnessed the Upper Bracket Final between FaZe Clan vs OG and the Lower Bracket Semifinal between Complexity Gaming vs Team Liquid. Let’s move in towards a detailed match summary of these fixtures –
FaZe Clan vs OG
It was a best-of-3 game, and FaZe won the series by 2-1.
- Mirage map: FaZe Clan made it 10-5 in the first half. Later after a 6-2 finish in the second half, FaZe Clan secured the win by 16-7.
- Ancient map: The first half was dominated by FaZe Clan, but OG changed the show as they made a good comeback. The second-half score remained 2-10 and OG secured the win by 11-16.
- Inferno map: The first-half score remained 12-3 and later with a 4-1 finish in the second half, FaZe won the game with a 16-4 victory.
Complexity Gaming vs Team Liquid
It was also a best of 3 game fixture and the score was 0-2.
- Anubis map: Team Liquid was ruthless as they made it 2-13 in the first half. The second half ended with a 0-3 score and Team Liquid finished the game with a 2-16 score.
- Overpass map: First half score remained 6-9 which was again led by Team Liquid. Later with a 6-7 finish in the second half, Team Liquid secured the series and won the game by 12-16 scores.
Conclusion
With the victory against OG, FaZe Clan moved in towards the Grand Final in Group B while Team Liquid will face OG in the Lower Bracket Final to determine which team will make it.
