A recent Twitter post by Disguised Toast confirmed the struggle faced by his team.
Disguised Toast’s VALORANT team, Disguised, has struggled to get off to a good start in the VALORANT North America Challengers. On May 3, after the team’s third straight loss, the streamer talked about the issues they were dealing with.
In a recent Twitter post, he apologised for the team’s underwhelming scoring performance (0-3) and explained how difficult the situation had been for everyone. He said, “Esports has been one of the more challenging experiences he faced in his career”.
What was the discussion all about?
In the Twitter post, Disguised Toast explained that because of the pressure and stress, the team faced as a result of having Disguised Toast’s name behind them, losses have been challenging to take. Disguised Toast shared, “They all message me after each loss, apologising for their performances, and it is really disappointing to see them so defeated despite giving their best effort”.
In April, Disguised Toast acquired two VALORANT teams, one of which played in the NA Challengers and the other of which was vying for a spot on the VCT Game Changers circuit. This marked Toast’s entry into the esports world. The female roster experiment appears to end after just a few series played in April, and the male squad has yet to live up to expectations since then.
It will be challenging for Disguised to win their final two series in the VALORANT North America Challengers circuit. On May 12 the team will play M80, while the following week TSM will be the opponent. The team still has a chance to overtake the top spot in the VALORANT North America Challengers rankings, despite failing to have a good start, if they manage to win their next two games.
