Week 5 of the tournament is currently underway
Riot Games organised LCK Spring 2023 commenced on 18th January 2023 at the LoL Park in Seoul, South Korea. Currently, it is the 17th LCK season, where a total of 10 teams are competing to get themselves crowned as Champions of Korea. The tournament holds a prize pool of ₩375,000,000, which will be shared among the top 4 teams. The top two teams from the tournament will be making their way to the Mid-Season Invitational 2023. The format is of two stages, the Group Stage and the Playoffs. Group Stage was split across a total of 9 weeks, and yesterday, it kicked off Week 5. Opening two matches were played, and the winners remained KT Rolster and Hanwha Life Esports.

Post-match analysis from the opening fixtures of Week 5
As stated above, Week 5 of the tournament commenced yesterday, 15th February, with the opening fixtures. The first game was KT Rolster vs DRX and Hanwha Life Esports vs Nongshim RedForce. The matches were the best of the three games. A detailed post-match analysis of the game is provided below.
Match 1: KT Rolster vs DRX

Banning phase: The strategic planning of the game began when KT Rolster banned Maokai, Ashe, Elise, Nautilus and Leona. DRX banned Lucian, Varus, Caitlyn, Jayce and Akali.
- Game 1: KT Rolster’s Kiin picked Gragas, Cuzz picked Wukong, Bdd picked Taliyah, Aiming picked Zeri, and Lehends picked Lulu. DRX’s Rascal picked Renekton, Croco picked Sejuani, FATE picked Azir, deokdam picked Draven, and BeryL picked Annie.

This game lasted for 31 minutes and 33 seconds, with KT Rolster securing another win.

Match 2: Hanwha Life Esports vs Nongshim RedForce

- Game 1: Hanwha Life Esports’ Kingen picked Camelia, Clid picked Wukong, ZEKA picked Azir, Viper picked Varus, and Life picked Heimerdinger. NS RedForce’s DnDn picked Gnar, Sylvie picked Sejuani, FIESTA picked Jayce, Vital picked Ziggs, and Peter picked Leona.
After a game of 38 minutes and 39 seconds, Hanwha Life Esports won the game.

Viper was the MVP for both games, as he was brilliant with Varus and Zeri.
