Wild Rift League Asia, abbreviated as WRL-A, is organised by Riot Games for the Asia Regional league. League of Legends Wild Rift debuted in the market back in 2020 for the smartphone platform. Since its introduction, League of Legends: Wild Rift has already taken good shape in mobile esports. It steadily grew in regions like Southeast Asia, China and South Korea. Riot Games revealed they are organising the Wild Rift League- Asia on 21st November 2022. It focused on Asia as it is the most active mobile esports market in the world. This new Wild Rift League Asia replaced the original Wild Rift Esports and is set to start on 8th April 2023.

About the Wild Rift League- Asia
According to recent leaks, Wild Rift League-Asia will have a two-season tournament. The tournament’s first season will commence on the 8th of April, 2023 and go on till the 23rd of July, when a total of 20 teams will be seen in action. Tencent Games, TJ Esports and VNGGames will organise the tournament. The sponsors of the tournament are OnePlus, PUMA and KIA. It is both an offline as well as online tournament type. China Conference teams are confirmed, but rosters are yet to be revealed, while the SEA, KR Conference, and Last Chance Qualifiers are yet to be played out. Complete details are not yet revealed.
The Wild Rift APAC Open Qualifier is already in progress. After many teams from around the Southeast Asian region competed in the first stage of the event, two teams from each region will advance to the second stage of the Wild Rift APAC Open Qualifier. Two teams from each of the three regions of the Philippines, Vietnam, and Southeast Asia will advance to the Wild Rift League Asia season 1. The Last Chance Qualifier, where the team will compete at the Wild Rift Asia Season 1 tournament, offers some hope to teams unable to make it. The season will last for a total of 8 months which allows the fans to witness the exciting actions of esports.

Transfer window
This year’s official transfer window is scheduled to run from August through September, with a brief hiatus in January and February of 2024. The WRT3 for Wild Rift League China, which runs from April to November this year, and the regional events for Wild Rift League APAC, which run from June to November, are two additional exciting tournaments to look forward to.
