Another week ends for VALORANT Challengers for the Brazil region
The Regular Season for the VALORANT Challengers 2023 has concluded another week of intense gameplay. VALORANT Challengers 2023 Brazil Split 1 is organised by Riot games and is taking place at Riot Games Brazil Studio in Sao Paulo. A total of 8 teams are seen competing against each other for a prize pool of R$405,000. The tournament will go on till the 19th of March. Week 2 had a total of 4 games, two of which ended the day before yesterday as you all read in our previous article. On 26th January which was yesterday, 2 remaining matches from Week 2 were played out and the winners from these fixtures are TropiCaos and The Union.
TropiCaos and The Union steal the show
The final matchday of week 2 included a total of four teams in action. Teams that were indulged in the fight were TropiCaos vs Liberty and the second game was The Union vs Keyd Stars. Match 1: TropiCaos vs Liberty
Map veto – Icebox, and Fracture was picked by the teams, Ascent was the decider map.
- Game 1: Icebox was the map, TropiCaos picked Harbor, Viper, Killjoy, Sova and Jett. Liberty picked Jett, Viper, Sage, Killjoy and Sova. The first-half score remained 6-6, later a 7-2 second-half finish TropiCaos won the game with a final score of 13-8.
- Game 2: Both teams then headed for the Fracture map. TropiCaos picked KAY/O, Brimstone, Cypher, Breach and Raze. Liberty picked Breach, Killjoy, Brimstone, KAY/O and Neon. Liberty led the first half but a good second-half display with a score of 8-2 led TropiCaos to a victory by 13-9.
Match 2: The Union vs Keyd Stars
Map veto – Ascent and Pearl were the maps picked by the teams and Fracture was the decider map.
- Game 1: The game began on Ascent Map. The Union picked Omen, Jett, Sova, Killjoy and KAY/O. Keyd Stars picked Killjoy, Sova, KAY/O, Astra and Jett. Keyd Stars led by 5-7 and a 6-6 draw in the second half Keyd Stars won by 11-13.
- Game 2: Both teams met each other on the Pearl map. Astra, Jett, Sova, Killjoy and KAY/O were picked by The Union. Keyd Stars picked by Killjoy, Viper, Skye, Astra and Jett. The first half remained 7-5 and later a 6-3 second-half finish led them to a victory by 13-8.
- Game 3: The Union picked Brimstone, Raze, Breach, Cypher and Sage. Keyd Stars picked Killjoy, Viper, Raze, Brimstone and Breach. First half score remained 11-1 and an easy 2-0 finish in the second half led them to a victory by 13-1.
With this, The Union went on top of the standing while ODDIK esports remain in second position. Keyd Stars are now in 3rd position.
