Velocity Gaming maintained its winning spree in the League Stage by comfortably defeating MLT Esports
Velocity Gaming comfortably defeated MLT Esports in a two-round match to finish their League Stage journey. Both teams from Group A were playing their fourth match of the League Stage in which Velocity Gaming remained unbeaten with its fourth consecutive win. On the other hand, MLT Esports finished with just one win and three losses. With this defeat, MLT Esports is almost out of the top six teams for the Playoffs. Match Analysis
Game 1: Haven Map
The first game of the match started on the Haven Map and lasted for 1 hour 2 minutes and 52 seconds. Velocity Gaming started dominating the game after an initial fightback from MLT Esports. The first stage of the map ended with a score of 7-5. Once again during the second half, Velocity Gaming completely dominated the game and comfortably won with a score of 6-1. The first game concluded with a win for Velocity Gaming with a score of 13-6. Excali with 20 kills and doma with 21 kills from Velocity Gaming registered maximum kills.
Game 2: Pearl Map
The second game of the match started on the Pearl Map and lasted for 1 hour 18 minutes and 57 seconds. During the first half of the game, Velocity Gaming started with a lead over MLT Esports and concluded the first half with a score of 9-3. However, in an unexpected turn of events, MLT Esports bounced back in the second half and comfortably won by 3-9. At this point, there were speculations that the match will get stretched to the third game. However, Velocity Gaming once again led the front and defeated MLT Esports with a score of 4-2, and ended the second game with a score of 16-14. DEATHMAKER and ec1s from Velocity Gaming registered maximum kills of 28. On the other hand, Venka from MLT Esports registered maximum kills of 28.
In Conclusion
With just three days remaining to conclude the League Stage of the tournament, we are getting more clarity over the top six teams for the Playoffs. Velocity Gaming is comfortable proceeding for the Playoffs; on the other hand, MLT Esports is almost out of the Playoffs. However, if GodLike Esports defeats True Rippers in their next fixture on 9th April, then there will be a possibility for MLT Esports to proceed for the Playoffs.
