Season 15 sets a new benchmark
Apex Legends’ active player base has been constantly expanding and is even starting to surpass some of its benchmarks. Since 2021, with no indications of slowing down, Apex has gone from having just over 100,000 ongoing players to regularly hitting 400,000 players. The two mid-season events of Season 15, Wintertide and Spellbound have turned out to reach the all-time player high as a battle royal amongst its lifetime concurrent players on Steam.
Here’s a recent tweet from Garret graphically presenting the growing player trend.
How high did it go?
With Apex Legends Season 15 released on November 1, 2022, and with 405,728 concurrent players during its launch, it brought along with itself amazing updates and mid-season events. The number of players in the mid-season events has now surpassed the Season’s launch for the first time.
Wintertide featured a Collection Event that surfaced from December 6 to December 27, 2022, with an all-time player high of 412,916. On the other hand, Spellbound is a Collection Event that is currently ongoing in Apex Legends which kicked off on January 10, 2023, and lasted till January 24, 2023, with an all-time player high of 411,917 already underway.
