After being removed from the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store about 10 months ago, Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) has now made a comeback. According to a recent announcement by the Indian Government, Krafton will be able to restart its BGMI operations for a three-month trial period. Indian Government banned BGMI from the Indian App Store due to privacy concerns regarding how the company handled customer data. On July 28, 2022, BGMI was removed from the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.
Krafton said that substantial efforts were made in collaboration with the Indian Government to achieve a seamless return into the gaming business. On May 19, Krafton announced that the game was returning and will be made accessible to Google Play Store for download soon. The excitement peaked on May 22 when some users who had pre-registered for a closed test run were given access to download BGMI from Google Play Store. But the download link and the Google Play Store on the BGMI official website are currently unavailable as a result of the server shutdown, making it difficult to download the game.
Why the BGMI Servers are shut down

There is no official word on when the servers will be back online, but it should happen soon. While Krafton makes the necessary changes to comply with the terms that MeitY gave them and relaunching the game with all of the terms and conditions can be the possible reason for the shut of the server.
However, BGMI’s closed test track is currently being updated. Those who opted in for a public test of the game before its release are expected to receive an email with a link to the Play Store where they can download the game, But the game will not be available to play as the server is shut. This message is also being received by some other users also who chose not to participate in the closed test.
When players click out of the previous message, an additional message appears on the screen. The second message indicates that the servers are not yet operational.

KRAFTON’s official statement states that “Currently, the closed test track for BGMI is updated. Those who opted for a public test for the game before its launch are expected to get a message which takes them to play store for downloading the game. However, the link won’t work and the game cannot be downloaded as the servers have been shut. We also understand that some other users who had not opted for the closed test are also getting this message. This is a technical error and we are working on resolving it.”
You can download BGMI to your Android phone, but you can’t play the game just yet. When BGMI is made accessible for download, it won’t exactly be a return that lasts forever. The Indian government will be keeping an eye on it during the three-month trial period. Naturally, players immediately downloaded the game, but they encountered server problems.
