Whether it is Crysis or Battlefield, both multiplayer titles have gained a lot of popularity in the gaming community. With an enthusiastic and insane player base, both the first-person shooter titles- Crysis 2 and Battlefield 2042, have entertained fans in all aspects. They are renowned for their greatest servers and graphics.
Therefore, it is a hard decision for gamers to decide which of these two titles to choose from to have the best multiplayer gaming experience. So, here we are with a fair comparison between both highly popular multiplayer titles.
Crysis 2:
Developed by Crytek and published by Electronic Arts, the 2011 multiplayer video game- Crysis 2 features modes where players battle against other Crysis players on a variety of different maps.
Released for Microsoft Windows, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3, the game- Crysis 2 is the second main installment of the Crysis series. Here every player, whether they are on the KPA or the USA side, wears a Nanosuit and battles in two distinctive game modes: Power struggle and Instant Action.
Well, Nanosuits act as an advanced exoskeleton that provides the players with superpowers and permits them to be strong, fast, and invisible on the battlefield.
Power Struggle- In this mode, a total of 32 players choose between USA and KPA teams, with a cap of 16 players on each side where both the teams are provided to destroy the other base.
Instant Action- The most underrated or less played mode, where players fight against other competitors with only pistols, and then get to pick various weapons around the map or by eliminating enemies.
Battlefield 2042–
Developed by DICE and published by Electronic Arts, Battlefield 2042 is the twelfth main installment in the Battlefield series. Released on November 19, 2021, for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Microsoft Windows, and Xbox Series X/S, the game has solidified its position in the gaming community.
With intense gameplay, the game executes a battle of up to 128 players having 64 players on each side. Unlike previous games in the series, Battlefield 2042 is mainly focused on multiplayer battles and does not have a single-player campaign.
The game features fan-favorite Conquest and Breakthrough, the two staple modes of the series.
In Conquest– Two teams battle against each other to occupy control points. And once, all control points in a sector are occupied, the team control said sector.
In Breakthrough– One team must defend its control point and the opponent team must try to capture it.
Conclusion:
Well, both the games provide the best experience of intense combats, but when it comes to choosing one of them, both titles provide tough competition to each other. With none of them lacking behind, both titles are played by millions and have an insane player base.
But when it comes to optimization and modern gameplay Battlefield 2042 outperforms better than Crysis 2, as the majority of players now as days go for better gameplay and matchmaking, Battlefield 2042 provides better player engagement as it mainly focuses on multiplayer battles and that’s what matters at the last in multiplayer titles.
