TI winner reveals Dota 2 developer’s return
IceFrog, the lead developer for the popular esports title Dota 2 and Defense of the Ancients is set to return to improve the game after almost 2 years of absence. The main conditions were raised when players noticed that the Dota 2 patches were not up to the mark. The wow-factor changes decreased in each patch or update, this change caught the eyes of many and made fans believe that the current unknown developers are out or surrendered from the game’s patch developments.
Following this, the Tundra Esports’ player and TI11 winner Skiter aka Oliver Lepko might have revealed that the former developer is coming back. What is coming for Dota 2?
The Tundra Esports player Oliver Lepko better known by his in-game name Skiter appeared in an interview with c1RcA aka Peter Travnik. He talked about the involvement of IceFrog and said he is not been working on Dota for the last two years. Skiter went on to add that Dota 2 is lacking a lot of big changes in terms of economics and maps.

After what skiter revealed in the interview, Gorgc said that at first, he was surprised by the remarks then he went on to say that he already heard about this but didn’t reveal anything live on stream. According to Gorgc, IceFrog might have been working on some other game and this might be the reason why the lead developer was absent from Dota 2. Since 2005, IceFrog has worked on the development of Dota. Several other developers worked on this and they all left, but IceFrog remained a constant for Dota. After spending more than 15 years on the development of the game, their break won’t be a big deal.
