Pokemon Trading Card Game Online is nearing its end
In a new official blog post from Pokemon, it has been announced that the card set development for Pokemon Trading Card Game Online or Pokemon TCG will be ending on March 1, 2023. It has been clearly stated in the blog post, that with the upcoming sunsetting of Pokemon TCG Online, there will no further development for the card sets of the game as of March 1, 2023.
According to the blog post, the main reason behind this decision is to ensure that the team of Dire Wolf Digital is able to devote all of its resources to Pokemon Trading Card Game Live, which is the successor of Pokemon Trading Card Game Online, and as a result of that, they have to drop the development of card sets for the older Pokemon TCG Online.
Since there will be no future development, Pokémon TCG: Crown Zenith is the last and final expansion of this Pokemon Card Game. Thus, there will be no new content coming to the game. However, that does not mean it will not be receiving any future updates, there will be potential bug fixes, but that will be technically it.
What about the fans of Pokemon Trading Card games or Pokemon TCG?
Fans of Pokemon card games need not be disappointed completely, as the team will now be devoting all of its resources to another Pokemon card game, and also the successor of Pokemon Trading Card Game Online, namely the Pokemon Trading Card Game Live.
Talking of the Pokemon Trading Card Game Live, it is now available all around the world on both the mainstream mobile platforms, iOS and Android, along with the popular PC Operating Systems, Windows, and macOS. However, it is in beta, and the full release will be happening at a later date.
Conclusion
