Lulu, the female character of Final Fantasy X

Lulu is a playable character from Final Fantasy X who also makes an unplayable appearance in Final Fantasy X-2. She is a protector of Yuna. Lulu is an expert in the use of black magic, and her Sphere Grid gives her access to a variety of offensive spells. Additionally, her Overdrive, Fury, enables her to cast spells quickly.

Appearance

By drawing inspiration from a traditional obeah voodoo priestess and a contemporary witch recognised for their enigmatic dressing style and use of voodoo dolls, Lulu differs from the “typical Black Mage look” like that of Vivi Ornitier. She is dressed in a low-cut, dark grey and black outfit. Her dress’ bottom front is made up of several intertwined belts. She is dressed in a corset and thigh-high stockings with lace trim. 

Personality

• Lulu lacks smiles frequently and is tough and critical. 
• She is also self-assured, sarcastic, and melancholy. 
• She is one of the few Yevonites who objectively question religion, despite being kind-hearted, loving, and bright. 
• Lulu has become reserved and wants to keep her feelings hidden, choosing to analyse the world with realism and reasoning after losing her beloved to Sin. 
• She represents a big sister to Yuna, to whom she has great loyalty.

Gameplay

Lulu, who plays the role of a Black Mage in Final Fantasy X, equips herself with bangles for armour and employs animated dolls as weapons. She gains excellent Magic and Magic Defense via her Sphere Grid path, which also grants her good Evasion. Her path contains the majority of the Black Magic spells. She also gains a few Special skills, such as Doublecast, which enables her to cast two Black Magic spells simultaneously, and Reflex and Focus, which enhance Evasion and Magic, respectively.

In the HD Remaster and International versions of Final Fantasy X-2, Lulu can be chosen as a non-controllable party member. After conquering the Youth League Tournament, she is faced off against as a boss in the Fiend Arena, and via the use of Creature Creator, she can be added to your party.

Abilities

• Fire: An elementary fire spell that harms a single target.
• Thunder: A spell that damages a single target with lightning.
• Blizzard: A spell that damages a single target with ice.
• Water: A spell that harms a single target with water.
• Drain: It transfers the target’s HP to Lulu.
• Osmose: A spell that transfers MP from the target to Lulu after draining it.
• Flare: A potent spell that overwhelms one target with severe damage.
