Know more about the character
Being a Seeker of the Sun Miqo’te Conjurer, Y’shtola Rhul is one of the primary protagonists in Final Fantasy XIV‘s Limsa Lominsa tale. She first appeared in Version 1.0 at the very beginning when she aided the intrepid traveller during the Aurelia attack on the ship. She later developed into a key character in A Realm Reborn and its expansions.
Appearance and Personality
Y’shtola has platinum blonde hair with two frontal pigtails linked with rings, light teal eyes, light brown skin, and brown facial marks. She wears a white dalmatica with silver patterns and the Circle of Knowing mark on the left arm, along with blue pants and black ankle boots. She can monitor aetherial activity in the surrounding area thanks to a visual device she wears around her neck. On her neck, she has a tattoo of an archon. She carries a one-handed conjurer’s wand that looks like a branch of a tree.
She loses her sight in Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward after casting illegal magic that causes her eyes to turn pale white. She carries the Truth Seeker staff. Once the player reached Y’shtola level 80 in Avatar mode, they could unlock this outfit.
She is shown as a responsible adult who is mature, cool, and collected. She is also quite smart and has extensive knowledge of both magic and history. She may appear serious, but she actually has a dry sense of humour and occasionally uses sarcasm. In general, individuals who consider Y’shtola a friend see her as a dependable and trustworthy ally.
In contrast to Thancred Waters, who is flamboyant and frequently gets overlooked for her calm demeanour, she is a quiet, knowledgeable person among her academic peers who delivers clear and pertinent advice.
Gameplay
In numerous main scenario quests, Y’shtola battles alongside the player as a guest character. She is a Conjurer, and her weapon of choice is a Budding Maple Wand. She is capable of using a variety of Conjurer powers, including Stone, Stone II, Aero II, and Cure. She and a few other Conjurer NPCs occasionally cast spells like Stoneskin, which are no longer available to Conjurers because the instances she appears in were coded much earlier in the game’s development.
Reception
Fans of the Final Fantasy series have expressed positive feelings about the character of Y’shtola Rhul. Her knowledge, stoicism, and quiet demeanour are well-liked by gamers, and they make for a wonderful contrast to the other characters’ more vivacious and charismatic personalities. She is a fan favourite due to her quick wit, quick thinking, and ability to offer strategic advice and analytical analysis during combat.
