Redfall will premiere on May 2, according to sources
In line with a prior report on Redfall’s launch window, insiders in the industry believe May 2 to be the most likely day for the game to be released. The source of the leak was eXtas1s who posted about it on Twitter.
Redfall is now 100% confirmed and it will release on May 2, 2023, according to eXtas1s. The first to break the news was an insider named Brad Sams, who posted two cryptic tweets which hinted about Arkane’s upcoming game. The tweets from Sams were later deleted, although they featured an emoji that said “Red Fall Second May” at first.
More about Redfall
Redfall is an Xbox exclusive and will be accessible via Xbox Game Pass right away. The game will have an early access period which players can enjoy.
Redfall is the first significant triple-A Xbox release of 2023, which puts a lot of expectations on developer Arkane after a poor 2022. The creator added that the launch of Game Pass was “surprising and worrisome” since it had been developing throughout the pandemic.
Fans are saying that the game is similar to Left4Dead but its creators claim that it is more closely related to S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and Far Cry 2. The game’s co-creative director, Richard Bare, asserted in the same interview that, while taking into account its co-op, the game also draws inspiration from Borderlands, D&D, and Diablo.
The Livestream event
Microsoft’s Developer Direct, a Livestream event on January 25 that will also highlight The Elder Scrolls Online, Forza Motorsport, and Minecraft Legends, will feature more official information about Redfall. One of Microsoft’s major AAA releases for Xbox and PC is anticipated to have a confirmed release date in 2023, which Xbox Germany claims will be revealed alongside a Forza Motorsport release date. Microsoft previously postponed the game out of 2022 and promised that it would launch alongside Starfield in the first half of 2023.
The program will highlight “major features” and “longer gameplay displays” on these future games and will be broadcast on the respective Twitch and YouTube accounts of Xbox and Bethesda. Even though Starfield isn’t included, it will receive a special showcase that will give players a comprehensive look at Bethesda’s ambitious new IP.
