Battlegrounds Mobile India servers are now online! The much-awaited multiplayer battle royale game has opened its servers for all its players, allowing them to start their chicken dinner journey! In an official announcement on May 29, Krafton announced that the servers are open as phased rollouts and are available for players in batches.
So, if you cannot access the game immediately, do not worry, Krafton has got you covered! The selection of the batches is completely random, so sit tight and wait for the serves to open for your IDs.
Why did Krafton close the BGMI servers?

BGMI servers stayed online even after the game was taken down by Google and Apple from their App Stores per the orders of the Indian government’s MeitY (Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology) in July 2022. However, on May 19, 2023, the servers of BGMI went offline after almost nine and half months of being blocked by MeitY.
Soon after the servers were shut down, Krafton confirmed the game’s return in the Indian market. Despite the good news, many readers are still curious why the South Korean developers have taken the game offline rather than pushing an official update via the Play Store and App Store for the new content, like PUBG Mobile.
The potential reason why Battlegrounds Mobile India servers have been taken down is to make the necessary changes to comply with the Government of India’s guidelines. As confirmed by the GOI’s union minister, Rajeev Chandrasekhar, BGMI is getting unblocked temporarily, on a three-month trial basis, after Krafton complied with issues of server locations and data security.
MeitY will take the decision on BGMI’s future after three months of observations around other addictiveness, user harm, and more. Furthermore, Battlegrounds Mobile India is rumored to work on the in-game blood and gore issues. Besides compliance with MeitY’s policies, Krafton has promised to “come up with a better and bigger experience,” which is the prime reason behind the servers’ unavailability.
BGMI is now available in the Google Play Store

Battlegrounds Mobile India shows up in the Google Play Store when players use the “AOS Download” link on the game’s official website. As the servers are now live, players can start playing the game with the new BGMI 2.5 update.
