HoYoverse has officially revealed Clorinde as an upcoming character in Genshin Impact 4.7. She will be the highlight of the Phase 1 banner alongside Sethos, a new 4-Star Electro character in Genshin Impact. The upcoming banner is also going to feature the re-run of 5-star Dendro user Alhaitham.
Genshin Impact seems to be fixated on the Bond of Life (BoL) mechanic to implement more strategy into their combat. After Arlecchino, Clorinde is the next DPS character who can manipulate BoL to apply various effects and deal damage.

According to Genshin’s lore, Clorinde is the strongest Champion Duelist in Fontaine. She is part of a group of elite duelists who resolve conflicts between individuals by accepting duel requests. Mentioned in the details shared by HoYoverse about the character is that Clorinde “has never once known defeat in a duel” and bickering merchants leave “with their tails between their leg” upon her arrival.
Clorinde is a fearsome instrument of Fontaine’s law. This justifies her role as a Damage Dealer in the game. Formerly, she was Furina’s bodyguard, but unlike the latter who can alternate between Pneuma and Ousia, Clorinde will always be Ousia-aligned.
Clorinde can be pulled from the Illuminating Lightning Character Event Wish in Genshin Impact 4.7. The event-exclusive 5-star ‘Candlebearer, Shadowhunter’ character will get a huge drop boost.
Genshin Impact 4.7 Banner: Clorinde’s Skills Explained
The most interesting aspect of Clorinde is that she is a 5-Star Electro Character who is revealed to be a Sword user but also carries a gun in her kit. According to the clips shared by Genshin’s X account, the ‘pistolets’ will come into play when Clorinde activates her Talents. For instance, Hunter’s Vigil will transform Clorinde’s Normal Attacks into short-range blasts from her pistols.

Normal Attack — Oath of Hunting Shadows
Clorinde performs 5 rapid strikes. Charging the attack consumes Stamina and she fires Suppressing Shots in a spread pattern with her pistolet.
Elemental Skill — Hunter’s Vigil
Clorinde enters the “Night Vigil” state. She deals Electro DMG by firing her pistolets and also increases her Bond of Life. Upon using her Elemental Skill, she will transform it into “Impale the Night” form and perform a lunging attack that deals Electro DMG.

- When BoL is zero, Clorinde performs a lunging attack.
- When BoL is less than 100% of her max HP, she is healed based on the BoL value and the damage she dealt with the lunging attack.
- When BoL is more than or equal to 100% of her max HP, Clorinde increases the healing multiplier, and the AoE and DMG dealt by the lunge is increased.
Elemental Burst — Last Lightfall
Genshin Impact Clorinde uses both her sword and gun to deal AoE Electro DMG while moving swiftly between enemies. She grants herself a Bond of Life based on her max HP.
