The devs of Minecraft, Mojang Studios, announced on their X/Twitter account that Minecraft would soon be adding Godzilla to players’ adventures, through a mysterious teaser. And now, they’ve revealed that the King of Monsters is finally here! Check out their post below.
Players will be able to step into a meticulously crafted movie theater within the game. This digital cinematic homage is adorned with iconic memorabilia, offering players more than just a spectator’s role – they are active participants in an exhilarating virtual spectacle.
Within the screening rooms, players are presented with four distinct adventures, each intricately designed to mirror the essence of different Godzilla films. These multiplayer quests are strategically crafted to be dynamic, challenging, and conducive to a shared gaming environment.
The first quest sets the tone with a gripping escape mission, urging players to navigate a cityscape while evading Godzilla’s formidable heat rays. The option to collect provisions is accompanied by the moral dilemma of rescuing fellow citizens for additional points or prioritizing personal survival.
In the second adventure, players are confronted with an unidentified colossal creature threatening a city’s existence. Leveraging Minecraft building capabilities, participants are tasked with constructing a protective wall around Godzilla to contain the destruction and safeguard the city. For those seeking an extra layer of excitement, a confrontational option with the giant creature is available.
Mojang Studios has dropped some details about two of their four adventures, but the rest are a mystery. You’ll need to play the game to find out!
