The mid-season update of Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 has unlocked the Wastelander Magneto Outfit for Premium Battle Pass holders. It provides a variety of superpowers allowing players to take the role of the Master of Magnetism from Marvel’s X-Men franchise.
3 Ways To Get Magneto Power Gauntlets In Fortnite
Fortnite Magneto Power operates differently than the Nitro Fists introduced in Chapter 5 Season 3. It has the power to summon metal shards that can either act as projectiles or form a shield. However, only one action is allowed at a time, which means players can use the shield or choose the aggressive option.
Listed below are the three ways to get the Fortnite Magneto Power Gauntlets:-
- Ground Loot: Magneto Power is a Rare Utility Item that can be obtained as a usual loot.
- Treasure Chests and Supplies: Chests and Supply Drops have a high chance of containing the item.
- Purchase from NPC: The gauntlets can be purchased from Magneto NPC in Fortnite for 400 Gold.
The interactable NPC named Magneto can be found in the Brawler’s Battleground POI. It is located at the southeast corner of the Map, below Mount Olympus. Unfortunately, Magneto only carries one Power Gauntlet in each battle royale game. Players have to rely on the first-come-first-serve rule or eliminate the opponent that purchased the gauntlet and obtain the item from the latter’s lootbox.
How To Use Fortnite Magneto Power & Is It Worth It?
After equipping the Magneto Power, there are two action options for Fortnite players. Right-click while playing on PC summons a hovering Shield whereas left-click is the trigger for Fire. The attack animation, which sees the character summoning metal shards and twisting them into a ball, requires two to three seconds after which the ball is thrown to the targeted location.
A total of five charges can be held by the Fortnite Magneto Power item. The charges can be seen appearing on the screen as purple bars and each bar takes seven seconds to recharge. Interestingly, the Shield ability of the gauntlets doesn’t take any charge.
Are the Magneto Power Gauntlets in Fortnite worth equipping? Indeed it is. The gauntlets have infinite ammunition, albeit taking a few seconds to recharge. It has both aggressive and defensive capabilities, unlike the Nitro Fists. Magneto Power also boasts a massive 95 damage per hit to players, 415 damage to vehicles which includes heavy knockback, and 85 damage to structures.
