The First Dota 2 Major of the 2023 DPC season is all set for actions
Organised by 4D Esports and Epluze, Lima Major, the first major of the 2023 season of DPC, is set to begin on the 22nd of February. The first-ever South American DPC Major is at Arena 1 in Lima, Peru.18 teams will fight for a $500,000 Prize pool. The tournament sponsors are AORUS, Memory Kings, Ciaro, VSG and Backus. The tournament will continue until the 5th of March with the Group Stage and Playoff actions. The teams that made it to the competition are – 4 teams each from Western Europe and China region, 3 teams each from Southeast Asia and Eastern Europe and 2 from South and North America.

Group Stage starts this Wednesday 22nd for everyone to enjoy the biggest SA Dota Party.
Start time will be at 10:00 (PET) with 4 simultaneous games.

The formats and qualifications
The first fixtures will be from the Group Stage actions, which will run between the 22nd and 26th of February. A total of 2 groups with 9 teams each will play a single round-robin format.
Qualification from Group Stage
The teams that will secure the top 4 placements from each group in the Lima Major will head for the Upper Bracket playoffs. 5th and 6th-placed teams from each group will go into the Lower Bracket of the playoffs. The remaining teams will get eliminated.
Playoffs will begin on the 28th of February and continue till the 5th of March. 12 teams will be in action in double elimination brackets, with all matches featuring the best of the 3 series. The Grand Final will have a best of 5 game series.

Lima Major prize pool distribution
The $500,000 prize pool will split among the top 8 teams. The winner will get the lion’s share of $200,000, runners-up will get $100,000, 3rd positioned players will get $75,000, and the 4th-place team will accumulate a $50,000 prize pool. 5th to 6th placed teams will get $25,000 each and 7th to 8th placed teams will get $12,500 each.
