Since Call of Duty: Mobile’s launch, the shooter has been receiving a new weapon every other season. Moreover, all of the weapons are based on similar firearms from the main series’ Call of Duty titles. This time around, some data miners have come across the MG42 LMG in the COD Mobile Test server files of the recent public test build.
For those unaware, MG42 is a light machine gun that was last seen in Call of Duty: Vanguard’s arsenal. Furthermore, the solid LMG has also appeared in Call of Duty titles like Black Ops, Black Ops III, Black Ops Cold War, WWII, and more. The leak was reported by @LeakersOnDuty on X, courtesy of data miners like @Alyan_Gamer_YT and @DuxinoYT.
MG42 LMG Might Arrive In A Future COD Mobile Season
As the light machine gun was seen in a recent COD Mobile public test build, the chances of its appearance in an upcoming season are quite high. Furthermore, a Reddit user recently asked developers about the possibility of adding any new LMG like MG42 or MG 82. Interestingly, the official Call of Duty: Mobile account confirmed that developers “have plans to bring at least one new LMG this year.”
Thus, one can expect an LMG addition like MG42 to the game in 2024. For the unversed, MG42 (Call of Duty: Vanguard) is known for its high rate of fire, unlike most of the LMGs in COD Mobile. Furthermore, recent leaks have also hinted at a potential arrival of a Legendary Blueprint, MG42 Debris, which will probably launch during the same season as the light machine gun’s debut in Call of Duty: Mobile.
