Revenant Esports players narrate the moments in the documentary

Revenant Esports, one of the top-notch esports organisations in India, recently released a documentary portraying the journey of qualification. The team was placed at the bottom of the table in Phase 1 of the Pokemon UNITE Asia Champions League – India. They went for 1 win and 3 losses straight. The team had a devastating run and failed to make an impact, and morale broke. However, with a proper decision from the management and the team captain, Revenant Esports got back into the winning ways. The team rose in the second phase, and with some tremendous last-minute clutch and round wins, they became the top-seeded Indian team. The Fall & Comeback Of The Best Pokémon Unite Team In India | Revenant Off The Record

Off the Record – Revenant Esports Documentary

The players of Revenant Esports’ Pokemon UNITE roster narrate the team’s performance in the tournament. The team not only made it to the top but regained their mental strength as they went in for the Phase 2 action.

Balaji Ramanarayan, aka BlizzarD’s take on the team’s performance

BlizzarD says that the team struggled a lot in the last 2 minutes of the game, and in most cases, they failed to win the games. BlizzarD went on to say about Revenant’s phase 1 conditions as they only beat S8UL in the opening game and lost all the remaining matches.

Swifty and XesoL on the team’s strong showing against S8UL

Jeet Kundra, better known as Swifty and Vishnu Khatri aka XesoL, claimed that the team was very confident, which gave a better performance against S8UL. By defeating them, the boot camp was confident enough as S8UL was a better opponent than the remaining teams.

Revenant’s miserable fall and improvement

The team failed to make an impact and lost all the remaining Phase 1 matches against Gods Reign, True Rippers and Marcos Gaming. NOVAA was the one who was struggling as the team’s top lanner. BlizzarD and SWIFTY recall the moment by stating how NOVAA was talking less, which created a problem in the team’s communication which is essential for the MOBA genre.

One single change made Revenant triumph

Following the poor run, the team changed their roster by benching NOVAA. It was a decision by the management and Crowly, the IGL, to stop repeating the mistake and try something new. Adnan Badshah, aka BADSHAH, was brought in as a substitute. This change was perfect for the team. Revenant had a good run in Phase 2 and came out as the winner. They won against Gods Reign, with XESOL’s strong presence of mind, they won against  True Rippers, and a win against S8UL led them to 2nd place in the standing. After that, they went on to take Marcos Gaming in the Grand Final and came out as the winners.

In Conclusion

Off the Record, the documentary explained how the team took a crucial strategic change that paid off for the Playoffs stage. To become the champions of India, the team overcame Gods Reign, True Rippers, S8UL, and ultimately Marcos Gaming. With this, now the team is representing India at the Pokemon UNITE Asia Champions League Finals, which will take place on the 18th and 19th of March. Revenant will be against the top teams from across the continent.
