Shanks Vs Kidd In One Piece Explained
Captain Kidd pulls up to Elbaf before anyone else and decides he wants to run fade with the Emperor Red-Haired Shanks whose crew casually manhandled his crew and their Vice Captain- Benn Beckman cut off his arm. In his first fight against them, Shanks wasn’t even present but this time Shanks comes out personally to fight. You can check out the anime trailer for Shanks vs Kidd in the upcoming One Piece Episode 1112 below.
He gives Kidd a choice to leave all his Poneglyph tracings and leave with his life and his crew or fight him and lose everything. Kidd, just having beaten Big Mom with Trafalgar Law in Wano, felt confident and was about to blast the Red Hair Pirates with one of his devastating attacks.
Shanks saw this coming a mile away and didn’t want to deal with all the damage it would cause so homie pulled up to Kidd’s ship and gave him a humble goodbye with the very move used by Gol D. Roger- Divine Departure. This was so devastating that it one-shot Kidd, knocked out his crew, and heavily damaged his ship.
It’s safe to say that Shanks sent him packing like the kid he is. Thus, Shanks vs Kidd was a rather short affair indeed- at least in the manga. But what do we know about Shanks’s abilities and why was this fight so hyped?
Shanks Vs Kidd Gives A Glimpse Of Shanks- The Killer Of Observation Haki
Shanks’ Observation Haki is so advanced that he could detect Greenbull’s exact location in Wano from miles away while he was just casually passing by Wano’s borders. He was also adept enough to pinpoint his Conqueror’s Haki to intimidate only Greenbull.
In his fight against Captain Kidd and his crew, Shanks is said to have seen the entire outcome of the fight before it even began and he determined that Kidd, while still weaker than him or his crew, would end up causing a lot of damage. Knowing Shanks, who doesn’t want to see his friends hurt, it’s obvious he one-shot Kidd before he could even start so as to protect his buddies.
Shanks’s Future Sight is said to be so advanced that it is useless to use Observation Haki against him. It’s also theorized that Shanks can erase his presence so as to go undetected by any Observation Haki users- which would explain why he was able to infiltrate Mariejois so easily and meet with the Five Elders. Here’s the release date and time of the upcoming One Piece Episode 1111 so you can stay prepared.
