Skyesports announces first-ever franchise-based esports league

In a recent Twitter post, Skyesports finally revealed the big announcement that both fans and players have been eagerly waiting for. With a prize pool of Rs 2 crore, India is set to witness its first franchise-based Esports league, mainly surrounding Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. The tweet revealed that there will be a total of eight franchise teams, and have a never-seen-before format of gameplay. The leading esports organisation is going to host the biggest PC tournament, which will span over three months. The cafe qualifiers will start soon, and the best team will be termed Skyesports Masters. 


A unique format for players to witness during the Skyesports Masters

Skyesports Masters will be a unique CS:GO league, allowing eight franchise teams to showcase their skills and talents. However, the format of the game will be different. Skyesports has partnered with numerous local cafes throughout 20 countries, including Pune, Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and many more. 

As per Anuj Tandon, the CEO of the Gaming Division, JetSynthesis, Skyesports has been one of the most prominent organisations to hold effective and efficient tournaments. Players that will be able to qualify during the cafe qualifiers will get the chance to join the eight franchises, which include star-studded team members. Furthermore, this is the biggest esports tournament in India, allowing Counter-Strike to regain its lost glory.

According to the CEO and founder of Skyesports, Shiva Nandy, Skyesports Master will help redefine and enhance the bar for the esports industry in India. The goal of the organisation is to raise the bar of the esports community in India and build a healthy and strong ecosystem for the esports industry. There have been a lot of losses and setbacks for the industry due to its low recognition in the global platform. However, Skyesports is all set to improve the condition of the esports community and provide budding enthusiasts with the needed requirements and changes in the industry.
