The origin of Tetris in the form of a Movie
As you all know, Tetris is a popular puzzle video game released on June 6th 1984. The game was developed by Software Engineer Alexey Pajitnov back in the USSR days. After its release, the game was made available in North America and Europe as a part of its global expansion. In 1988, video game designer and publisher Henk Rogers learned about the game and instantly joined hands with the developer. Over the years, it went through a lot of changes and developments and became the software blockbuster at that time. The current scenario is different as the game is taking the form of a movie featuring its origin story.
Know about Tetris Movie
Based on the game’s true story, the movie tells the journey of Henk Rogers, the video game salesperson trying to buy the Tetris rights. He tries to introduce the game to the whole world, but he finds himself in trouble once he gets to do it. The whole situation is surrounded by a dangerous web of lies and corruption behind the Iron Curtain. Taron Egerton will be seen playing the role of Henk Rogers, while Nikita Efremov will play Alexey Pajitnov’s role. As the game nears its 40 years mark, it’s a perfect way to pay tribute by launching a movie on it.
Widespread of Tetris
Since its development by Alexey Pajitnov, the game has become very successful. Players started to enjoy it, and the game had a positive effect. Tetris helped to make the cortex thicker and increased brain efficiency. Players had to arrange the falling puzzle pieces from the top and arrange them accordingly on the field where they fell. Tetris also became the first video game to make it into space, as stated by Guinness World Records 2014 Gamer’s Edition.
Another version of Tetris
There is another version of Tetris named Tetris 64. It was a Nintendo 64 version of the popular game, featuring a “Bio-Sensor” device that could be attached to the player’s ear. It analysed the player’s heartbeat data and sent it to Tetris 64, which used the information to determine whether to speed up or slow down. Since it only supported the game, this device was never made available outside Japan.
