Wuthering Waves 1.3 update is expected to be launched at the end of September. Kuro Games did reveal the upcoming Resonators via drip marketing but has been mum about the new features. Fortunately, a recent leak has revealed the developer’s plans to introduce more Echoes in the action RPG. Future patches may also debut Phantom Inferno Rider, Phantom Bell-Borne Geochelene, and Phantom Crownless.
Leaks Suggest Wuthering Waves 1.3 Echoes Will Include Phantom Variants Of Inferno Rider, Crownless, & Geochelene
According to a blog post by Wuthering Wives, Kuro Games is planning to add Phantom variants of notable Echo bosses such as Inferno Rider, Crownless, and Bell-Borne Geochelone. The latter is a Weekly Boss whose Echo can be used to shield allies. Meanwhile, Inferno Rider and Crownless drop crucial Ascension items and some of the most powerful Wuthering Waves Echoes.
The Phantom variants are alternate forms of the Echoes. They won’t feature a different Echo Skill or the Sonata Effect as compared to the originals. Nonetheless, fans are excited about the new designs. One user in the Wuthering Waves Leaks subreddit mentioned that the Phantom Inferno Rider would “look so sick in blue.”
Notably, the leaker revealed that the Phantom variants would be “available in future patches.” There is a likelihood that some Echoes will be released beyond the Wuthering Waves 1.3 update.
Currently, the most notable Phantom Echoes include Impermanence Heron and Mourning Aix. The former can be obtained from the Depths of Illusive Realm store whereas the latter is available in Simulation Training Point Shop.
Leaks regarding the Wuthering Waves 1.3 Echoes also revealed there will be new additions across seven Sonata Effects. 16 new Echoes could debut in Version 1.3, including three belonging to Freezing Frost, Sun-Sinking Eclipse, and Moonlit Clouds. The leaker mentioned that the list is ‘subject to change.’
Based on speculations, the new Wuthering Waves 1.3 Echoes will be the signature echoes for upcoming Resonators The Shorekeeper and Youhu. Echoes belonging to the Moonlit Clouds Sonata Effect are usually Support-centric so it could be related to Youhu.
New additions to the Sierra Gale Sonata Effect will be welcome. Aero Resonators such as Jiyan, Aalto, and Yangyang will get more variety in their skills. Apart from that, the new Attack-centric Lingering Tunes echoes could be related to The Shorekeepr because she is rumored to be a Main DPS.
After Wuthering Waves 1.1, there has been a drought of Echoes. Version 1.3 potentially introducing more Echoes in all categories will be a huge help to players who are stuck using a certain Sonata Effect for the Resonators in their team.
