Upper Bracket and Lower Bracket actions are underway
Riot Games and LVP together organised the VCT 2023: Game Changers Latin America North Series 1 – Closed Qualifier. It began on the 30th of January with a playoffs format featuring a total of 8 teams. It is an online type tournament which is based in the Latin America South. The games that are played are of Best of 3 series and all the teams are placed in a Double-Elimination Bracket. Currently, the closed qualifiers are played out and the first round of actions is already over. This tournament serves as the qualifier for the Valorant Game Changers Main Event. On the 5th of February, we will see which two teams will make it to the Main Event.
A quick look at the matches that were played
The tournament began with the Upper Bracket Quarterfinals which were played on the 30th of January. After that everyone moved in towards the Lower Bracket Round 1 and the Upper Bracket Semifinals. A total of four matches were played yesterday according to the Indian Standard Time. The matches that were played are as followed –

Map 1 – The game was played on the Pearl map. Skull Cracker Quartz began with an Agent lineup of Fade, Killjoy, Breach, Raze and Astra. Six Karma Femenil played with Astra, Jett, KAY/O, Cypher and Fade. Skull Cracker Quartz led them to a victory by 13-10.
Map 2 – The game was played on the Haven map. Skull Cracker Quartz played with Fade, Killjoy, Breach, Raze and Astra which remained the same as the previous map. Six Karma Femenil this time picked Astra, Jett, Fade, Killjoy and Breach. Skull Cracker Quartz won the game by a 13-9 finish.
Moneterrey Esports Female vs Polar Squad Esports Fem

Map 1 – It began on the Fracture map, Moneterrey Esports Female Agent lineup was of Brimstone, Killjoy, Breach, Raze and Cypher. Polar Squad Esports Fem picked Brimstone, Cypher, Breach, Sage and Raze. Polar Squad Esports Fem won the game by 2-13.
Map 2 – It was on Haven map, and the lineup for Moneterrey Esports Female was Killjoy, Fade, Phoenix, Astra and Breach. Polar Squad Esports Fem began with Astra, Jett, Breach, Killjoy and Sova. Polar Squad Esports Fem won the game with a score of 2-13.
Upper Bracket Semifinals
NTH vs Awake Gaming Female

Map 1- The game was played on the Ascent map, NTH picked an Agent lineup of Sova, Killjoy, Omen, KAY/O and Jett. Awake Gaming Female picked Killjoy, Astra, Jett, Sova and KAY/O. Awake Gaming won the match with a score of 11-13.
Map 2 – The game was played on the Haven map, NTH’s agent lineup was Breach, Killjoy, Omen, Fade and Raze. Awake Gaming Female picked Killjoy, Omen, Jett, Sova and Breach. With a score of 7-13, Awake Gaming Female won the game.
Free Action vs Baaxal Esports

Map 1 – It was played on the Icebox map. Free Action picked Jett, Sage, Sova, Viper and Killjoy. Baaxal Esports picked Reyna, Sage, Sova, Killjoy and Viper. Free Action won the game by 13-6.
Map 2 – Breeze was the map, Jett, KAY/O, Sova, Viper and Cypher were picked by Free Action and Jett, KAY/O, Sova, Cypher and Viper was picked by Baaxal Esports. Free Action won by 13-6.
Upper Bracket Semi-Finals are over and the remaining fixtures will be played out today. Currently, the Lower Bracket Quarterfinals are going on.
