Wuthering Waves Version 1.1 introduced the new map Mt. Firmament which can be unlocked after completing the Main Story quest ‘A New Companion’ in Chapter 1 Act 7. A secluded area on the southeast of Huanglong, Mt. Firmament has five Mutterfly locations.
Players can discover all of them to collect Union EXP and Astrites, albeit in small quantities. Unfortunately, the Mutterfly hunt in Mt. Firmament has no separate Achievement, unlike the ‘Sound of the Return’ achievement in the Jinzhou region.
Wuthering Waves Mutterfly Locations In Mt. Firmament & Corresponding Rewards
As the name implies, Mutterfly in Wuthering Waves is a butterfly-like creature that moves from one tree stump to the other. Players have to move closer to a stationary Mutterfly following which it will start its journey to the other tree stump. Once the insects reach their destination, they award players with 10 Union EXP, 5 Astrite, 2000 Shell Credits, and randomized upgrade items.
Here are the five Wuthering Waves Mutterfly locations in Mt. Firmament:-
1. Northeast Of Loong’s Ridge
In Mt. Firmament, the first of the Wuthering Waves Mutterfly locations is close to the Jue boss fight. Use the Resonance Beacon northeast of Loong’s Ridge Nexus. Head to the marked location on the map above after which players can find a Mutterfly on top of a stone structure. Follow the zig-zag route of the Mutterfly, pluck some Lemongrass if needed, and reach the end to collect the following rewards:-
- 10 Union EXP
- 5 Astrite
- 2000 Shell Credits
- 1 Basic Resonance Potion
2. West Of Loong’s Ridge
Among all other Wuthering Waves Mutterfly locations in Mt. Firmament, the one on the west of Loong’s Ridges is the most difficult to discover. The reason is that the location is in the middle of two Resonance Beacons, requiring more leg work from the player. Moreover, the Mutterfly is hidden inside a ruin. It will take players a fair distance after which they can collect the following rewards:-
- 10 Union EXP
- 5 Astrite
- 2000 Shell Credits
- 3 Basic Resonance Potions
3. Loong’s Crest
Unlike the other Mutterfly locations in Mt. Firmament, the one at Loong’s Crest requires the help of an Echo transformation. The Mutterfly is hidden behind an ice door that can only be broken after a player transforms into a Clang Bang and uses the nearby Leap Device. After interacting with the Mutterfly, the latter will take a complicated route to reach the tree stump located at ground level, providing 10 Union EXP, 5 Astrites, 2000 Shell Credits, and upgrade items to those who follow it.
4. West Of Hongzhen
If players haven’t unlocked the Resonance Beacon closest to the Mutterfly location, take the bridge west of Hongzhen. The path will lead to the Beacon. Take a sharp left after reaching the structure, climb a rock, and look for a Mutterfly on a tree stump. There aren’t going to be any enemies so players can safely follow the golden insects and obtain the following rewards:-
- 10 Union EXP
- 5 Astrite
- 2000 Shell Credit
- 1 LF Howler Core
5. Luminous Shore
After using the Resonance Nexus closest to Luminous Shore, head southeast until one reaches a bridge. The Mutterfly is located on a tree stump before the bridge on the left side. It will cross the bridge and then assemble on another tree stump on the right side, thereby giving the following rewards:-
- 10 Union EXP
- 5 Astrites
- 2000 Shell Credits
- 1 Basic Energy Core
Some Mutterfly locations in Mt. Firmament are near creatures or enemies. Thus, players need to be prepared for a fight. Create a Team consisting of the best Resonators before exploring.
