Chen Zhihao Chinese Dota 2 professional
Chen Zhihao, also known as Hao, is a former professional Dota 2 player from China who is most known for helping Newbee win The International 2014 on July 28, 1990. From 2011 until 2018, he is known to be an ace in the Dota 2 community.
He was a member of the Newbee eSports Club squad that took home the US 5,028,308 top prize in esports history. According to the e-Sports Earnings estimation, Chen “Hao” Zhihao was the player with the greatest ranking in terms of money gained across all competitive video games as of August 2, 2015. In 2015, he joined Vici Gaming. It was announced that Hao would be going back to Newbee on August 31, 2015. Hao joined Tyloo at the first International and was one of the first players to switch from Warcraft 3 Dota to Dota 2. Despite having great expectations for the team and performing well in the group stage, they finished in the bottom half, and the players soon left the organization. The team was able to compete for The International 2 but only placed seventh or eighth. Prior to International 3, the squad’s performance had been improving.
Chinese Dota gamers refer to Hao as “Hao the Hand Cutter” because of the statements he made during a 2010 match against RoX.KIS: “Pick Spectre for me, I shall cut off my hand if we are not the winner.” During the Anti-Mage mania, he is also infamous for spamming Spectre.
Amazing facts
Hao is no stranger to LAN contests and is renowned for being incredibly passionate when playing. He has the desire to kill due to his role as a carry player, as evidenced by the numerous times he dives for kills during matches. His bold moves characterize his persona, and the team he plays for may succeed or fail depending on the divisive results of his assertiveness.
Hao, a participant who has participated in every International since its creation in 2011, is leaving the scene for the first time. The retiring player has not yet been addressed by Newbee, and the company has not stated how it plans to replace Hao in the starting lineup. As the September 4 roster lock date for the Fall Major drew near, his revamp made a great impact on the flow of the game.
