Sequels Announced at AnimeJapan 2024 Event
AnimeJapan 2024 announced and confirmed the following sequels for release in 2024. While not all of them have specific dates, their months of release have been confirmed.
- My Hero Academia Season 7 is confirmed for release on May 4, 2024, alongwith a new trailer and the opening “Tagatame” by TK from Ling Tosite Sigure.
- Oshi No Ko Season 2 is confirmed to be in production and is scheduled for an expected July 2024 release.
- The Seven Deadly Sins: 4 Knights of the Apocalypse Season 2 is confirmed for an October 2024 release.
- Re:Zero Season 3 was announced for an October 2024 release alongside a new trailer and more cast reveals.
- Blue Exorcist Season 4 was announced to be in production with its expected release in October 2024. A new teaser for it was also revealed.
- Black Butler: Public School Arc confirmed its release on April 13, 2024, alongside a new trailer revealing opening and ending songs.
- Natsume’s Book of Friends Season 7 released a new key visual and is expected for release in the Fall 2024 season.
- Sound! Euphonium Season 3 assured its release on April 7, 2024, alongside a new trailer with the ending song “ReCoda” being performed on stage by TRUE.
- Code Geass: Roze of the Recapture unveiled its first trailer and the first out of four parts of the anime series is confirmed for release on May 10, 2024.
- Monogatari Series: Off Season (a direct sequel) & Monster Season are expected to release sometime in late 2024.
- The Irregular at Magic High School Season 3 revealed a new trailer and confirmed its release on April 5, 2024.
- Jobless Reincarnation Season 2 Part 2 released a new trailer confirming its release on April 7, 2024.
New Animes Announced at AnimeJapan 2024 Event
Sequels aside, here are some of the most anticipated new anime releases announced at AnimeJapan 2024.
- Suicide Squad Isekai was confirmed for the July 2024 release alongside a third trailer and the event was attended by Hololive Vtuber Mori Calliope who is also singing the ending credits- “Go-Getters” in the anime.
- Wistoria: Wand and Sword is confirmed for release in July 2024 with fans also getting a new key visual and reveals of new cast members.
- Blue Box– the highly anticipated romance basketball shonen jump manga is confirmed to be getting an anime adaptation which drops in October 2024.
- Baki Hanma vs Kengan Ashura (Netflix) was one of the most surprising announcements of the event as this crossover is what many fans of both series have always dreamt of. Netflix will release the anime on June 6, 2024.
- Spice and Wolf remake is confirmed to be coming along nicely with its release date set on April 2, 2024.
- Zenshu– an anime original by Mappa is confirmed to be in production and is expected for release in the Summer or Fall 2024 season.
- Mecha-Ude has confirmed its anime release for October 2024 alongwith a new teaser trailer.
- Autumn on Air by J.C. Staff revealed a preview trailer with hopes for release in 2024.
- ATRI- My Dear Moments is announced for release in the Summer 2024 season alongside a preview teaser.
- Re:Monster by Studio Deen also released a new trailer confirming its release on April 2, 2024.
