Punkk emphasises other games during his live stream
Ashutosh Singh, aka Punkk, revealed how the gaming community in India is too focused on BGMI. According to the pro-BGMI player, he emphasises other esports games and streams them on his channel to show fans and audiences. He showcased his anger and frustration with limiting opportunities for other players to showcase their gaming talent.
The Indian Gaming community witnessed numerous hardships with bans on games such as PUBG. After the ban of the game, KRAFTON introduced BGMI, that is, BattleGrounds Mobile India to the players. It was a successful game, with the majority of players and streamers showcasing their skills in the game. However, the game was suspended in India on July 2022.

The initial reason for the BGMI ban
After the game’s ban, audiences and players were agitated and were wanting for the game’s return. However, the Indian Government banned the game under section 69A of the IT Act 2000. The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (Meity) took an issue related to servers located in China, stealing data from its users. The safety, security and privacy of the users were among the top concerns of the government, which led to the suspension of the game.
Punkk reveals he does not intend to play BGMI until its relaunch
Ashutosh “Punkk” Singh has been playing other games such as New State Mobile and Valorant in his streams. During a livestream, when a fan asked him about his plans of streaming BGMI after its return, he replied that he will stream the game but only after its return. Punkk has been very supportive of improving and enhancing the esports gaming industry in India and has asked his fans and audiences to do the same.
