Developer Larian Studios has disclosed the PlayStation 5 Pro enhancements for Baldur’s Gate 3. The fantasy RPG inspired by Dungeons & Dragons will run with improved graphics and have smoother performance in the latest console by Sony as compared to the PS5. The developers mentioned in a post on the official Baldur’s Gate 3 site that they have tweaked the game’s Quality and Performance modes and tailored them to offer consistent frames-per-second (fps). Baldur’s Gate 3 PS5 Pro Enhancements
Released on November 7, 2024, the PlayStation 5 Pro has advanced ray tracing, an upgraded graphics processing unit, and high-quality resolution. More than 50 video games have received enhancements for the console, including God of War Ragnarok, Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Lies of P, and Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. The PlayStation Blog first revealed that Baldur’s Gate 3 will be part of the PS5 Pro upgrades following which Larian Studios disclosed the details.
The Baldur’s Gate 3 PS5 Pro enhancements are as follows:-
- Quality mode now runs at native 4K (2160p) resolution while maintaining 30fps
- By utilizing PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution, Performance mode will upscale from 1440p to 2160p to deliver consistent 60fps
- Split screen on the PS5 Pro console will offer either 30fps or 60fps depending on whether players are using Quality or Performance mode.
Aside from the visual enhancements, the split screen feature for Baldur’s Gate 3 in PS5 Pro is a notable improvement.
