Everyone at the Kurultai meeting starts to panic as Rakshas emerges from within the Northern Chief’s body in the latest Berserk manga issue. Though he is confused, the Apostle remembers how Rickert had blown him into pieces in chapter 341. Silat tries to fight Rakshas while Daiba realizes the Astral gates have opened. As various trolls start attacking the Kushan citizens.
Berserk Chapter 378 Explained The Identity Of The New Enemy
A masked shadowy figure emerges from the body of the Northern Chief, and Silat immediately identifies him as Rakshas. He used to be a Bakiraka but was exiled and taken in as an Apostle of the Falcon of Light. Rakshas is confused as to why he is not at the Falcon’s city but recognizes Silat soon. He also remembers how Rickert had blown him into pieces using a rocket and wonders how he got out of there alive.
We learn that Silat has hidden many Bakiraka warriors among the servants as they start attacking the Apostle. They try to get the King away from the Kurultai room and Silat declares he will fight Rakshas. However, Daiba warns him not to make any rash decisions since the being is as powerful as 1000 men. Soon, an Od starts brewing at the center of the town and the Astral Gates to Qliphoth open. From there, many trolls appear on the street and start attacking the citizens.
Serpico Saves Farnese’s Life And Guts Makes An Appearance
Sensing the panic of the townspeople, Farnese tries to help them since Schierke isn’t awake yet. However, she is attacked by one of the trolls freed by the Astral Gate. Thankfully, Serpico is able to save her life just in time. She explains that the Qliphoth domain is manifesting inside the castle and they have to hurry. Back at the Kurultai room, Daiba deduces that this cruel and extensive planning is likely not the work of a dumb Apostle. The magical beasts also start going crazy and Rakshas says “This will do.”
The chapter ends with a shot of Guts still lying in his cell. He seems to be in pain, which means something sinister is nearing Kushan. If Rakshas is more than merely an Apostle, then it will explain why he could summon so many demons and why Rickert’s blast didn’t kill him. However, many fans think that the God Hand Slan is behind this since she manifests in Qliphoth. If that’s the case, then Guts and his teammates are in grave danger once again. The warriors of Kushan will have to put down their lives to defend their country. Unfortunately, the release date for the next chapter hasn’t been revealed yet.
