After announcing the all-new Battlegrounds Mobile India Series season recently, KRAFTON India has finally unveiled the BGIS 2024 schedule, format, prize pool, and other key details. The rookie and aspiring players can now register for the In-Game Qualifiers, which will provide an opportunity to participate at the main event in May 2024. BGIS 2024 Schedule And Format
The next season of Battlegrounds Mobile India Series, like the previous editions, is set to take place in multiple phases and rounds. The 2024 iteration will commence with The Grind and In-Game Qualifiers in April, followed by the main event featuring 1024 grassroots-level teams and 64 popular professional BGMI squads. Fans can find the schedule, format, and phases of BGIS 2024 as follows:
BGIS 2024: The Grind – 4 to 28 April
KRAFTON India will invite 256 teams for The Grind event that will last four weeks in two phases. After the conclusion of BGIS 2024: The Grind, top 64 teams qualify in the following main event rounds:
- BGIS Round 4 – Teams ranking from 1 to 16
- BGIS Round 3 – Teams ranking from 17 to 32
- BGIS Round 2 – Teams ranking from 33 to 64
The Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2024 In-Game Qualifiers will also run parallel to The Grind and will decide the 1024 participating teams for BGIS Round 1.
BGIS 2024: Main Event (Group Stage Phase) – 2 to 26 May
After The Grind, Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2024 will commence on 2 May with the teams qualified from the In-Game Qualifiers. The rosters that qualified through The Grind will join the main event from the Round 2. Fans can check the schedule of four BGIS Rounds as follows:
- BGIS Round 1 – 2 to 5 May
- Participating teams – 1024 teams from In-Game Qualifiers (64 Groups)
- Qualifying teams – 480 teams — Top 7 teams from all groups, alongside 32 teams based on higher positions among the remaining.
- Maximum matches for each group – Three
- BGIS Round 2 – 9 to 12 May
- Participating teams – 512 teams — 480 from Round 1 and 32 from The Grind — (32 Groups)
- Qualifying teams – 240 teams — Top 7 teams from all groups, alongside 16 teams based on higher positions among the remaining.
- Maximum matches for each group – Six
- BGIS Round 3 – 16 to 19 May
- Participating teams – 256 teams — 240 from Round 2 and 16 from The Grind — (16 Groups)
- Qualifying teams – 48 teams — Top 3 teams from all groups
- 16 teams based on higher positions among the remaining will get to avoid elimination via the Wildcard Entry Stage.
- Maximum matches for each group – Six
- BGIS Round 4 – 23 to 26 May
- Participating teams – 64 teams — 48 from Round 3 and 16 from The Grind — (Four Groups)
- Qualifying teams – 16 teams — Top 4 teams from all groups — will qualify for Semi-Finals Week 1.
- 48 teams based on higher positions among the remaining will get to avoid elimination via the Wildcard Entry Stage.
- Maximum matches for each group – Six

Wild Card Entry – 30 May to 2 June
The Wild Card Entry Stage will feature four groups, which will rearranged after two days, based on overall standings. After the culmination of six matches, top 16 teams from the 64 participants will move forward to the Semi-Finals Week 1.
Semi-Finals Week 1 – 4 to 9 June
- Participating teams – 32 teams — 16 from Round 4 and 16 from Wild Card Entry — (Four Groups)
- Qualifying teams – Top 8 teams will qualify for Grand Finals.
- Remaining 24 teams will have to compete again in Semi-Finals Week 2.
- Maximum matches for each group – 12 — All teams will play in the round-robin format.
Semi-Finals Week 2 – 13 to 16 June
- Participating teams – 24 teams (Three Groups)
- Qualifying teams – Top 8 teams will qualify for Grand Finals.
- Maximum matches for each group – 16
Grand Finals – 28 to 30 June
The BGIS 2024 Grand Finals will see 16 teams – Top 8 teams from Semi-Finals Week 1 and 2 — fighting it out over three days in 18 matches. The highest-ranked team will get to lift the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2024 trophy and the biggest share from the prize pool given below:
