Since its return in May 2023, BGMI (Battlegrounds Mobile India) has introduced many India-specific collaborations with personalities like Ranveer Singh, Hardik Pandya, and Neeraj Chopra. Deepika Padukone is the latest name on the list of Indian celebrities to collaborate with BGMI. For the uninitiated, KRAFTON India has announced the iconic Indian actor as the newest brand ambassador for the game and the BGMI x Deepika collaboration will soon go live in the game. Commenting on the upcoming crossover, here’s what KRAFTON India’s CEO, Sean Hyunil Sohn, was quoted saying,
“By bringing together the worlds of gaming and entertainment with the biggest star Deepika Padukone at its forefront, we aim to create a truly immersive and engaging world within BGMI.”
The partnership between Deepika and BGMI will in-game content based on the actor’s style and persona.
BGMI x Deepika Padukone Collaboration To Bring A Playable Character And Two Skins Based On The Actor
Players will get to see the arrival of a playable character based on Deepika, alongside “two distinct character skins representing her iconic style and persona.” Judging by the similar collaborations with the likes of Ranveer Singh and Hardik Pandya, fans can also expect other collectibles like emotes, plane finishes, voice-lines, skins for in-match accessories, and more.

It is not Deepika’s first partnership with Battlegrounds Mobile India, as the game had previously collaborated with Kalki 2898 AD, which starred the actor. The crossover happened in June 2024, but there’s no confirmation on the release of Battlegrounds Mobile India x Deepika yet. Players can follow the game’s official social media handles to get more updates on the Deepika collaboration.
When Will BGMI x Deepika Padukone Collaboration Release?
KRAFTON has yet to reveal an official release date for the collaboration between BGMI and Deepika, but fans can expect it to arrive after the launch of version 3.4. The next major BGMI update expected to arrive on September 23 and the developers can make an official announcement after the same.
