Black Myth Wukong Gameplay Clip Teases Nvidia’s RTX Ray Tracing Technology With New Boss Fight Sequences
In the compilation of recently unveiled gameplay assets, the character is seen fighting both bosses. For the uninitiated, Red Loong is shown as a sleeping dragon, a “hidden boss” found in the Black Wind Mountains. At the same time, Guangzhi is a wolf-like beast, who “honed his skills at a monastery.” He also wields a double-tipped spear, namely “The Red Tides.”
Besides the intriguing boss fights, the gameplay assets also teased the much-hyped Nvidia’s RTX ray tracing technology. For the uninitiated, Nvidia had announced in March 2024 that Black Myth Wukong will be launching with full ray tracing and DLSS 3.5, which will contribute in elevating the visual appeal and immersiveness.
Although the feature is demanding in terms of specs, it provides a considerably higher-end output in terms of environmental effects and details. Thus, enabling full ray tracing will ensure a next-level improvement in realism, be it illumination, rendering of the smallest of shadows, water reflections or anything else.
Black Myth Wukong is currently scheduled to have a global launch on PC and PS5 on August 20, 2024, while the release on Xbox has been delayed due to optimization-related reasons. The pre-orders are currently going on, with multiple physical and digital editions being available.
For the unversed, Black Myth Wukong is based on Journey to the West, a 16th-century classical Chinese novel. The action RPG promises to combine “rich storytelling” with “stunning visuals,” as depicted in the gameplay promos, but fans will have to wait till August 20, 2024 to get their hands on the medieval fantasy ARPG.
That concludes our coverage around the latest Black Myth Wukong gameplay clip, but fans can also check out new game releases in July 2024.
