VALORANT Champions Tour OFF//SEASON 2024 is underway with many regional tournaments scheduled to happen in the coming days. However, Riot Games has brought shocking news for the Pacific region fans, as they removed Bleed Esports from VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 and VCT Pacific. The spot vacated by the termination of Bleed will be equipped by BOOM Esports, which was runner-up at Ascension Pacific 2024. After BOOM Esports’ promotion, the format for VCT Pacific 2025 will remain unaffected, as Riot Games is going forward with 12 teams, as previously announced.
Riot Games Terminates Bleed Esports From VCT Pacific 2025 For Not Complying With Critical Reporting Requirements
As per Riot Games’ official statement, Bleed Esports’ termination from VALORANT Champions Tour was a consequence of its failure to comply with the critical reporting requirements. In addition that, there was a defiance of other key obligations under TPA (Team Participation Agreement), as well. Readers can check out Riot Games’ statement as follows:
“After careful consideration, Riot Games has made the decision to remove Bleed Esports’ from the VALORANT Champions Tour and VCT Pacific. Bleed Esports was terminated due to its failure to comply with critical reporting requirements and other key obligations under the Team Participation Agreement (TPA).”
It continues,
“Removal of a team from the Riot Games esports ecosystem is not something we take lightly. However, due to persistent operational failures of the team, Bleed Esports will no longer participate in VCT Pacific to protect the best interest of the players and the league. The individual players affected were informed of the decision as soon as it was made to allow them to explore other opportunities as quickly as possible.”
For the unversed, Bleed Esports is a Singapore-based organization, which won VCT Ascension Pacific in 2023 and was promoted to the International League for 2024 circuit. However, after disappointing performances at Pacific Kickoff, Stage 1, and Stage 2, Bleed didn’t qualify for any of Riot Games’ international tournaments. It is also worth noting that Bleed signed El Diablo Jaccob “yay” Whiteaker in September 2023, but the star player left the organization after Pacific Stage 1 in May 2024.
