Taiki offers to stay with Chinatsu’s father instead of her as he doesn’t want them to live under the same roof. He makes curry for dinner, even though the older man insists he shouldn’t. Unfortunately, Taiki is unable to make any conversation with the cold and emotionless man. The next day, when he tells Chinatsu this, she assures him that her father is like that with everyone and not just Taiki. Ayame asks Kyo if Chinatsu’s dad is in town and tells him how he never smiles.
Kyo thinks that the man must be very similar to himself, as he also doesn’t smile much and realizes that Taiki will be fine. After coming back to the apartment, Taiki and Chinatsu’s father sit down to eat together and the older man finally talks about how his daughter has changed hobbies multiple times since childhood. As she stuck with basketball, he had hoped she would give it her all. But dating Taiki might be distracting her. Taiki asks if the man will come with him on a run to get some exercise the next morning.

Hopefully, Ayame will break up with her current boyfriend and realize her feelings for Kyo soon.
