Blue Lock Chapter 284 Spoilers Begin With Hiori Congratulating Isagi
Everyone celebrates with Gagamaru after his incredible save. Hiori comes up to Isagi and congratulates him on stopping Rin. He asks how much of the play he had planned, and Isagi admits that everything other than Gagamaru’s save was plotted ahead of time. He knowingly lost to Rin and used himself as a pawn to defeat his opponent. However, he has realized that it’s the only way for someone like him to keep fighting against the geniuses and not get eaten by them.
After overhearing this, Rin says that Isagi’s Ego as a striker is rotting if he’s so proud about just blocking one shot. Isagi retorts by saying that the rotten one is Rin since everyone in the world is waiting for him to win the match with a miracle goal. However, Isagi’s strategy crushed the moment Rin would’ve become a hero and twisted history. Isagi smiles and says that it proves that prodigal learners can beat geniuses and he feels an egotistic pleasure he has never known before.
The Star Change System Comes To An End
An announcement declares that the 3-minutes star change system is up, meaning Loki and Noa will have to leave the field. Loki says that he feels disappointed since Rin couldn’t score with his pass even though he came to the field because it looked fun. He wonders how many years it might take for a world-class striker to come out of Japan and Isagi tells him to shut up. He says that Loki lost, since the future he imagined of Rin scoring a goal was destroyed by Isagi and Kaiser. He asks Loki to admit that he lost and that he’s just an arrogant man with fast legs.
When Noa tells Isagi to stop, the protagonist turns on his own coach. He reminds the world-class striker how he planned to use him as a stepping stone to awaken Kaiser and he won’t trust him anymore. He then promises to come up with a strategy and beat Noel Noa in the next World Cup. After hearing the declaration, everyone is shocked. Isagi thinks about how he can throw away his useless pride and use his Ego to win. In the end, he asks Kaiser, who’s also a talented learner like him, to team up for the rest of the match.
