Blue Lock Season 2 Episode 5 Recap
After the last selection match, Shidou and Rin start fighting. After Shidou injures Rin, Ego is forced to use the shock feature on his Blue Lock uniform and restrains him. Ego then gathers all the remaining players in one room and announces the names of those who will start the match against U-20. Even though Rin, Isagi, Nagi, Bachira, Chigiri, and many others join the team, everyone is shocked to see that Shidou isn’t around. Ego informs them that there’s no player on the team who can handle Shidou’s playstyle, and he had previously thought of subbing him in for Rin if the need arose.
However, Rin’s brother Itoshi Sae, who is the main attraction of the upcoming match, wanted Shidou to be on their side instead. That’s why, in the upcoming match, Shidou will be their opponent. We see a moment where Shidou is tied up and Sae greets him. Later, Sae’s arrogance causes him to get into a verbal fight with the U-20 team’s Shuto Sendo. Shidou joins them and physically fights Sendo. But he is easily stopped by their captain Oliver Aiku, who tells them to get along. The episode ends with Ego telling the players about the ‘Flow’ state.
