Eida meets up with Shikamaru and we learn that she knows about him helping Boruto escape. Mitsuri and Ryo will arrive at the Wind Village and Kashin asks Shikamaru to send three warriors to take them down.

Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 16 Recap
Koji Kashin reveals that six years from now, Boruto devised a new way to move that closely resembles the Flying Raijin Jutsu. He tells Boruto the secret behind doing it, which enables the protagonist to learn the trick. He then tells the protagonist how seeing the future constantly could destroy it. It’s the duty of those with premonition to help others avoid the worst. Much like Koji, Boruto will also become a Singularity of Fate. He then tells Eida that she will also become a Singularity of Fate. This tells us that the whole first scene was happening in the past which Eida is watching.
At present, Eida tells Sarada and Sumire that Boruto isn’t saying much, probably to keep them away from danger. Sarada asks where Boruto is right now and Sumire says he might not want them to know that. The two get into a tiff about Boruto taking on all the burden alone. The class rep gets angry and calls Sarada out for hugging Boruto despite knowing her feelings for him. Eida looks at the scene with amusement as Sumire runs away. Lord Daimyo blames the Village Elders for letting Boruto go and they promise to bring him back soon.
Elsewhere, Eida meets Shikamaru and tells him that she can’t keep an eye on the God Trees in the present since one of them might be able to see her. Shikamaru says that past incidents are fine. She thanks him for helping Boruto escape from the village and informs him that the protagonist is now with Kawaki. We learn that one of Koji’s toads is in Eida’s hair as he comes out and tells Shikamaru to not let Himawari out of the village. This can endanger her life as Jura has set his eyes on her. He also tells him to send Mitsuki, Sarada, and Konohamaru to the Wind Village as the God Trees Mitsuri and Ryo will appear there.

Sarada, Mitsuki, and Konohamaru are already at Sunagakure along with Sand Ninjas Yodo and Araya. The five of them will likely take on Ryo and Mitsuri in the next issue, as the two Divine Trees have also arrived at the village. They will try to use Koji’s toad to find Boruto, which can have devastating consequences. Fans can expect to see an amazing battle between the Ninjas and the God Trees. The toad could also be a trap laid for them by Boruto himself, as he and Kawaki plan to take all of the Divine Trees down.
