Within a day after the alt account's suspension, the main account got banned too
Twitch star BruceDropEmOff”, a popular streamer was banned from the streaming platform “Twitch” for violating their terms of service. He recently resigned from the content creator collective “One True King” (OTK) after receiving criticism from his fans for sharing a stream with “Mizkif,” the co-founder of OTK, who was accused of covering up and downplaying sexual assault claims made against another streamer, “CrazySlick,” who was Mizkif’s roommate at the time of the allegations.
About BruceDropEmOff
BruceDropEmOff, who has over 1 million Twitch members, became well-known via streaming video games like “Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout” and “Grand Theft Auto.” He joined “One True King” (OTK) in March 2022, a group of content producers that had just taken home the prize for “Best Content Organization” at “The Streamer Awards.” Bruce urged his viewers to weigh in on his affiliation with Mizkif during a webcast, and after receiving many critical responses, he abruptly cut the video short. He announced his departure from OTK the following day via Twitter.
Despite leaving “One True King” (OTK) peacefully, BruceDropEmOff later made an unfavourable comment about Mizkif, a co-founder of OTK, who he claimed kept contacting him. He called Mizkif “strange” and asserted that Mizkif was expelled for using a racist epithet. He continued to criticise Mizkif in his stream, although it’s unclear what was said in the texts that allegedly infuriated him. He later went back to his primary account and was given another punishment for attempting to get around the suspension put in place on his secondary account.
Why was he banned?
BruceDropEmOff was banned from Twitch on his main account and the ban is indefinite because he incurred multiple violations of Twitch’s terms of service. He received a similar offence in December 2021, which likely contributed to the permanent nature of the ban. Twitch has implemented similar bans in the past, for example, streamer “Hasan Piker” received a Twitch ban for using the same racial slur, which is considered hate speech by the platform and violates its code of conduct. However, Hasan Piker’s ban is temporary and his account is active as of this writing.
Later in his defence, BruceDropEmOff tweeted that an indefinite ban was imposed for speaking out against racism, in a world where one is not allowed to speak the truth. On his official Twitter account, he further posted the notice he got from twitch.
