What Can You Expect From Bungo Stray Dogs Chapter 118?
The Divine Being Amenogozen killed Kunikida in the previous installment, which greatly upset the fans. Chapter 117 ended with Amenogozen attacking Tanizaki. The fate of the beloved character will be revealed in the next chapter. We already saw how the being was able to cut through the entire airport with its blade. It would be interesting to see how Atsushi and the remaining members of the Agency stop this overpowered being who threatens the very existence of the world.
Bungo Stray Dogs Chapter 117 Recap
The latest chapter begins with Bram telling Aya that he was only momentarily back. He reveals that he is using Akutagawa’s body and ability to free Aya from under the rubble. Bram remembers how he had promised his own daughter to protect her but failed. He thanks Aya for being with him for as long as she has. Aya starts to cry as she says goodbye to him. Bram’s existence fades away and before moving on to the afterlife, he asks Akutagawa to take care of Aya.
On the other hand, the overpowered Divine Being appeared in front of Kunikida and Tanizaki. The duo was dumbfounded when they felt the amount of power radiating from the creature. Kunikida realizes that this being is not completely human. When he asks for its identity, the Divine Being reveals that its name is Amenogozen, and it is an existence as powerful as God. It suddenly gets behind Kunikida and he realizes that the being can jump through space and time.
Although Atsushi runs as fast as he can to reach the duo, he is too late as Amenogozen kills Kunikida with its sword. Atsushi follows Kunikida’s order and runs away after grabbing Tanizaki. The two of them stop at a distance but Amenogozen abruptly appears above them. The last panel of the manga shows Amenogozen getting ready to pierce Tanizaki’s head with the blade as Atsushi looks at the scene with a horrified expression.
