Atsushi notices that Akutagawa’s fighting looks different than before and thinks he will be able to defeat the powerful Amenogozen. He remembers an argument they had about Dazai when Atsushi mentioned how true strength comes from within you. He wonders whether Akutagawa has found his true strength. He and Amenogzen cross blades once again, and Dostoevsky approaches Atsushi. He explains that we can easily kill a person on a 2D plane even if he has a shield because he doesn’t have depth.
Much like that, Amenogozen can attack a person on our plane since he is a being of a higher dimension. In the next moment, Amenogozen perforates Akutagwa’s stomach, stabbing him from inside his body. After losing his last hope against the being, Atsushi is dumbfounded. Dostoevsky bids him goodbye and says whether he lives or dies isn’t his concern anymore. However, Yukichi Fukuzawa suddenly appears from behind them and asks if Dostoevsky has any interest in his survival. To this, the villain says he doesn’t.

The next issue being a short update suggests a change in the focus. The manga might move to other characters who are not present on the battlefield. Kyoka and Lucy, who are stuck in a building somewhere else, will likely appear in the next issue. If the current battle continues, we will probably see a fight between Yukichi and Amenogozen. Since everyone else died at the hands of the formidable monster, Yukichi might have figured out a way to counter his attacks and save the world. We will also learn whether Akutagawa died from the stab wound.
